American Idol's Jessica Sanchez Possible Elimination?

For Top 12 week of  "American Idol" ", all finalists were tasked in singing a song famously released during the year they were born. Supposedly an easy task for all contestants but it seems "Idols" three youngest contestants found the theme to be extremely difficult.

Jessica Sanchez, Shannon Magrane and DeAndre Brackensick were a little bit uncomfortable with the theme due that fact that their birth years 1994 and 1995 was an era where Hip-Hop songs and even boy bands are popular.


Particularly, Jessica Sanchez sang an upbeat songs by the legendary, Gloria Estefan's Turn the Beat Around. She sang it beautifully as usual combining her pop vocal range and stage presence. It was a Hit.

Unfortunately, the AI Judges, Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler were not really jumping to excitement about her performance. It is weird since they have been pushing all contestants to do more, take some chances and push boundaries but when a contestant does that, they do not buy it.

The Power-Belting Songbird might be booted out of the competition since most of the time, voters seems to follow what the comments and advise of the judges. Well, I hope not (: .
